Feeling stupid
Feeling stupid
Feeling stupid!
Yesterday, Wednesday at 1.50 in the afternoon, the weather is horrible with grey skies, it’s cold and we have that really fine misty rain – yuk.

I’ve got a few things on my mind and have to be somewhere at 2.30. I’m rushing around getting myself together coat on check to see if I have money in my purse, dog out the door and shut the door behind me as you do.
Walking to my car I’m now totally aware that I’ve shut my front door without having my keys! The air turns black and blue with all my cussing, and I am feeling really stupid …. grrr!
Luckily my car is unlocked so I put my dog inside bless her as she’s shaking with cold.
Grabbing my phone, I google a locksmith in my area, 3 came up straight away.
Taking a deep breath to calm myself and try to gain some composure, I proceeded to ring the first locksmith listed. They could be with me by 2.15 but wanted to charge me £79+ vat, umm that’s a bit steep and so I say “thank you but no thank you”.
Jumping to the 3rd number down (a women’s logic), A man answered and sounded friendly quoting me £78.00 inclusive of vat but he can’t be with me until 2.30 as he’s already on a job. Making a snap decision I decide to go with this guy, giving him my postcode and house number.
Now freezing, I join my dog in the car which feels like a freezer box, fingers won’t move as they should and I can’t feel my feet “you know the drill”. My dog is still shaking with cold even though I’ve covered her with a blanket and we sit patiently waiting for the locksmith to turn up.
Absolutely furious with myself as I sit contemplating my stupid mistake and feeling so cold just adds fuel to my fire… if only lol
Will he be here soon I wonder as my fingers stiffen a little more with the cold and yes there he is, he doesn’t hang around.
Saying “hello” as he walks straight up to my front door and in 5 seconds he’s gained entry, and I’ve paid for my stupidity.
A Really nice guy and accommodating where possible, I asked him if I could give him a mention in my post of which he happily agreed to. So here goes, if you ever find yourself being as stupid as I have been, don’t hesitate and call him directly.

He is also listed on https://www.checkatrade.com/morgangroupltd with a rating score of 9.99 out of 10
He definitely comes highly rated and I have had 1st hand experience of that.
Hopefully you won’t need to call him …
Maybe I have now learnt my lesson, the expensive way with the moral of this story- “ get a spare key cut and fasten it to the inside zip of my handbag “ lol.
I would just like to say “A huge Thank You to Morgan Locksmiths” for promptly helping me yesterday – my saviour 😀
Thanks for stopping by.
As always, take care of you and yours.
