Good morning, my lovely readers,
Apologies to my clients but this is out of my control!
I thought it’s only right of me to let you know what’s been going on as some of you always contact me through my Gumtree Advert.
You will have noticed that my ad is no longer displayed! For almost 3 weeks I have received “completely out of the blue” nothing but trouble from Gumtree.
My ad has ran live consecutively and constantly for over 5 months with no changes from myself until fairly recently. Now, for some unjust reason, my ad was removed and reinstated a number of times for reasons they now say, in layman’s terms “I’ve broken Gumtrees rules?”
As you can well imagine, this has been a very stressful time for me and many a sleepless night as a result of Gumtrees behaviour towards myself and I am only one person trying to survive.
I now understand it, This seems to be Gumtrees common practice to many little people out there, placing an ad with payment upfront only to have it removed shortly afterwards with no refunds.
On the 4th of December, because the only difference I made to my ad, I simply added Merry Christmas with a couple of sprigs of holly to the picture! They have removed my ad permanently!
Friday 6th December, I searched the web looking for a name in authority for Gumtree and came across Matt Barham, I was lucky enough to find his mobil number. As expected, his phone was turned off and so I left a voice mail asking him to return my call but received nothing from him. Later on in the day I sent him a text message asking him to come back to me and again no response.

Im afraid I have been left no options but to revert to old school methods by writing to there head office in London as Gumtree will not explain or help via email, (that’s if you are ever lucky to receive any response) explaining in detail exactly what has been going on, the treatment I have received and I now believe this is victimisation against myself.
I have explained in my Recorded Delivery letter that I am very happy to make my letter public and take further actions if necessary.
There are many more details I can enlighten you with, but because I have been a business lady for many years, it’s only correct and fair business ethics to give Gumtree the option to reply and rectify their unjust actions first. (hoping that there will be no need to make my letter public) My very detailed letter and other correspondence.
So with bated breath, I now await their response!
The Post Office assures me they will received my letter within 24hr. I can now confirm Gumtree.Com Ltd have received my letter and it’s been signed for on December 10th at 07.49am.
Let’s see what happens, I will keep you informed as time goes on.
