Sky tv – Netflix, you decide…

What do you think about your Sky Tv or Netflix?

Who thinks they are getting a raw deal with Sky TV at the moment? “Why do I ask? you might say”

Ok, well, it’s pretty much like this…

I have always enjoyed a good hard hitting Movie, Thriller, Sci-fi, Period Drama and even a Love story (as i’m a little gooey inside) but lately I have become disillusioned.

When I first left home as a young lady and up until I left the UK, I always had Sky TV. Yes expensive, I know but I didn’t go out much and still don’t these days so the cost was and is balanced.

I found Sky both enjoyable and rewarding, there was something for everyone and I would look forward to my evening’s entertainment. I had full knowledge knowing there was always something current and thrilling to watch through my Sky package.

Is it me or is Sky TV currently going downing the tubes?

It seems on an evening, i’m flicking through looking for something good to watch and if Im lucky enough, I will come across something where the synopsis entices me.

Wether a movie or box set, I’m watching the first 20 minutes giving it time, only to switch if off, as it’s a load of rubbish. The movies seem to be repeats or B movies that are free to watch and the good Movies only becomes free to watch when they ere not current anymore.

Sky is asking you to pay extra to watch a current movie! what’s that all about? Isn’t the cost of the Sky TV packages enough to find each month? let alone all you people who’s sky package includes sports of which the football section is changing.

It seems I’m having a moan lol…

Scenarios like this really annoy me, I personally think they are extracting the urine right in-front of me and thousands of others don’t you?

While visiting my family over the Christmas period, I was lucky enough for my brother to add me to his Netflix account. I had listened to people rave about it over the years but I was with Sky TV and I guess that was the end of it.

The last two weeks, I have managed to set Netflix up through my sky handset obviously using my brothers details to login in (thank you Bro) and when I do it comes up with an icon and my name. I click on that and effectively I have my own viewing account, I have had a play and a nose around and it’s very user friendly.

The Netflix Verdict

Let me just start by saying, with Netflix there is no contract so there will be no cancellation fee and at present the costs start from £5.99 a month although I believe they will go up this year. A price hike of 20%, the first since 2017 and this still makes Netflix’s a good deal for what you get.

OMG, “Netflix is amazing” It’s current and theres a huge array of Movies, Dramas etc to watch at the touch of a button. I like that when I’m flicking through, I can add something that sounds interesting to watch to my list, when I’m ready to watch something else, I just view my list and away I go. “Excellent”

I think everyone should try it

My thinking is this, If you know someone who has a Netflix account, why not ask them if they will add you to it and split the cost. I can assure you that you won’t be disappointed and for the price it’s worth ago.

Sue is now a happy girl with lot’s to watch and she’s in love with her Netflix 😃

  1. Hi Sue
    Nice Blog topic today.
Sky, Netflix, Amazon Prime & BT Sport – I have them all but Sky Movies I have never liked or wanted!
I pay £8.99 for Netflix on two screens at a time with HD and feel that it’s excellent value for money.
The rest of the family watch much more TV than me but when I do have time Netflix or Amazon Prime seems to be the best place to view.
Wow, adding that lot up with the BT Broadband to costs around £180 a month (over 2K per year!)
I think I better start watching more often to get more VFM don’t you………………….
