It’s almost that time of year again when traditionally its cold, windy and wet, the leaves have all pretty much fallen from the trees and have come to ground in every corner of our gardens. You will see pumpkins carved with goulash faces, lite and placed on door steps. For those of you who children, they will be looking forward to dressing up and the spookiness of Trick or Treat.
The carving of pumpkins (Jack-o-lanterns) has been around for centuries, originating in Ireland where large turnips and potatoes were used and the tradition was brought over to America with the Irish immigrants, home of the pumpkin and has been an integral part of Halloween ever since.
Halloween can be great fun for adults, it can bring the child out in us if we let it, you know the one we suppress on a daily basis to get through our working day.
If you’re a couple or if your single, it doesn’t matter, there is lots of fun to be had, we just need to know where to look.
There are parties/functions where you can dress up in Halloween costumes and unleash that suppressed child within or if you prefer, no costume required venue, if you’re still feeling a little shy.
If you’ve decided to go all out this year, there are plenty of sites online which can deliver on time at reasonable prices such as Masquerade.com or Joker.co.uk failing that then have ago at making one…good luck

Here are just a few venues in Suffolk hosting Halloween parties for us adult, some are ticket events and some are free to attend so theres no excuse to be boring this year, just get out there and have so fun!
19th October – The Kingfisher Pub, Ipswich – Halloween Party, Fancy dress and prize for best costume, Live music with LYKKEN, Trick or Treat Raffle. £3.00 on the door includes buffet.
25th October – Red Lodge Sports Pavilion, Bury st Edmunds – Halloween Disco and Adult fancy dress. Free to attend.
26th October – Five Bells, Rattlesden – Boos and Booze Halloween disco night, fancy dress optional, pumpkin carving and drinks promo. Free to attend.
31st October – Unit 17, Ipswich – The Jager Prroject Halloween Special, full venue decor and Halloween cocktails. Ticket venue.
31st October – Hintlesham Hall Hotel, Hintlesham – Halloween Part Night, fancy dress optional, 3 course meal with coffee and truffle chocolates, Dancing to their in house disco. Ticket venue.
1st November – Milsoms Kesgrave Hall, Kesgrave – Halloween Part in the Hangar, 3 course meal, spooky cocktails, dancing to Dreamwave Events DJ, fancy dress optional. Ticket venue.
2nd November – Masonic Lodge, Newmarket – Halloween Masquerade Ball, charity event in aid of EACH and St Nicholas Hospice, Food and live music from The Mighty Macca cover band. Ticket venue.
2nd November – Winchester Arms (The Bell), Kesgrave – Halloween Party, fancy dress, Halloween themed decorations throughout, Professional Karaoke. Free to attend.
