On my travels from shop to shop this week I’ve noticed that our shelves are becoming empty of certain products and people are stocking up incase we have a major outbreak of the virus. Yesterday, the situation prompted me to go out and buy what I could in the way of dried foods i.e pasta, rice, tin foods and toiletries for myself and family. Speaking to staff within these shops, I was told they are struggling to meet demand and as soon as it’s out on the shelves it’s gone. Certain products such as toilet rolls, pasta, antibacterial, tooth past, some shower gels, part baked bread, long-life milk etc. are running very low.
I’m not urging you to panic buy at all, I’m just letting you know what’s happening in the real world.
However, we do not know what’s around the corner with this virus and hopefully we won’t see anything like China but, it’s better to be prudent and have a few extra bits put aside just incase .
I’m afraid I do not believe what these news broadcasting sites say here in the UK, they only ever seem to report censored news and not the true facts of what is really happening here and around the world. I say this because I have seen this happen time and time again, so people, it’s better to be prepared for all eventualities!
Happy shopping and stay calm as it’s probably going to be chaos out there today.
Take care of you and yours
