I was talking to a friend the other day about my new found freedom. I am now a single women and want to discover a sex life again. It’s been a long time since I’ve been in the arms of a man having great sex. My Ex was never that good at hitting the spot if you know what I mean lol. I have a good sex drive and my vibrator has taken the edge off things for sometime but, I now find myself wanting the real thing. My friend couldn’t help me with suggestions of where I might go to meet a man as things have changed since I was last on the dating scene.

Sue, I’m sure you can advise me where to go to meet same minded men? I’m not sure at this stage if I want the full on romance, I think I’m just looking for a regular partner to share intimacy with. Can you please tell a 40 year old lady where to go please. I’m completely lost in todays society.

I totally understand your dilemma, things have changed immensely since you and I were younger. It’s not easy anymore, we used to go out to the pub or club and meet people alike but, that seems to have changed these days. People just don’t go out like they used to.
Most interactions are now done online through apps on your phone or joining dating sites like e-harmony etc.
It’s lost it’s personal charm this way but i’m afraid this seems to be the way most people find a partner either for romance or just a hookup.
Here are a couple of apps you can down load on your smartphone that I believe are just for hookups, you might find same minded people on these. Please be very careful, do not give your address out and if you decide to meet someone always meet in a public place. Granted, that’s going to be difficult at the moment but after the lock down has been relinquished this will work. Go to your app store on your smartphone to download –
Tinder
Plenty of fish
Badoo
The dating sites, here are a few to choose from and this might be the way to go in todays climate. You can engage with someone and build up a report during our lock down. This giving you time to chat online and see if the other person ticks your boxes and makes you feel as if you would like that kind of intimacy with them.
Which ever way you choose to go, please take your time and be careful, not everyone is honest on these sites and try to choose someone with a picture.
