Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day is the day we are supposed to be romantic with romantic gestures to show our appreciation to someone special or someone we admire from afar.
Many men don’t give this day too much thought and end up at the last minute, trying to buy a bunch of flowers to return home with after a busy day of work. Yes the thought is there, I guess, but don’t be fooled, your partner will know how much effort you’ve put into this romantic day.
If you don’t acknowledge this day, he/she may tell you it’s ok and not to worry but deep down they will be disappointed and try to put on a good front, so spend a couple of ££’s and make someone feel special.

Suggestions
- Buy a card – at the very least – this is important.
- Chocolates – not so good if your partner is on a health kick but most of us love them.
- Flowers – make them special, spend £1.00 extra for some tissue paper to wrap around them – make sure you have removed the price or have them sent through the post by someone like moonpig or interflora. Always lovely to receive flowers through the post.
- Book a nice restaurant.
- Book a night in a hotel to include your evening meal and breakfast.
- Westend show.
- Jewellery is lasting, something to cherish and doesn’t have to break the bank.
- Plush teddies holding a banner of love is always a cute way to show someone you care.
- Purchase a good bottle of fizz, a punnet of strawberries, a single rose, put some romantic music on, light the candles and spend the night enjoying each other.
A few years ago I was sent a bouquet of flowers accompanied by a present through the post, my smile lite up the room for days. My present was a lovely mug that I have used every morning since to drink my coffee from.
Some mornings when i’m feeling low and fumbling around making my coffee, I view my mug and it always brings a smile.
To this day, I do not know who sent it but I absolutely love it! You don’t have to spend a fortune to make someone feel good, use your imagination… Whoever sent it, a huge thank you! 😊

Did you know that the 14th February is also the time of the year to be bold and send that person you have been admiring from afar or someone you really like, a card or flowers through the post anonymously and maybe add a clue to who you are inside the card.
Go on, be bold, spread the love and make someone feel special this year!
Valentine’s Day only happens once a year and it’s supposed to give us the courage to step out of our cocoons to find that special one.
You never know, it could be the start of something magical 🌹that could last a life time.
