Some advice Sue would be useful.

Question

When I was a young man and in the throes of great sex one night, I managed to tear my frenulum; loads of blood everywhere, bloody painful and hugely embarrassing. I’m now 42 and in a new relationship; she’s great, and sex is great, but sometimes when I try to enter her I feel that my frenulum might tear again. It kinda kills my mood, if you know what I mean. Any advice would be great, Sue.

Thank you, and yes, I hope so too.

While reading your question, it made me wince a little, as doing the job I do, I think I can understand your concerns.

For those of you who do not know what the frenulum is, it’s the small piece of skin on the underside of a man’s penis, between the foreskin and the shaft of the penis. They are all different, but some can be very tight and tear through sex and even masturbation if you are figured enough.

Ok, so my advice to you, Steve011, is that you said this only happens sometimes, so I’m assuming that your partner is normally ready for you (wet) on the occasions when you have no problems. A lady’s vagina is a muscle with many nerve endings to be stimulated, and when aroused enough, it is self-lubricating and ready to receive the pleasures of sex. On the odd occasion when the vagina hasn’t self-lubricated enough, it will feel tighter than usual, hence your concerns over tearing your frenulum again. I would suggest buying some water-based lubricants; they come in all kinds of flavours these days and introduce them into your foreplay. I’m pretty sure this will be fun; it could be a hit for both of you and definitely help to put your mind at rest.
