Christmas Eve 2021
Christmas Eve has finally now arrived!
Some of you will be rushing around for those last minute gifts, others will be sorted and wrapped with just the food preparations for that much longed for family Christmas Day.
Sharing a glass of something while you prep and listening to those joyful Christmas tunes we’ve all grown to love over the years.
Children will be hyped and full of mischievous excitement and no doubt getting themselves into a little trouble along the way… I remember those days, getting into trouble and unable to control my excitement. Tossing and turning in my bed unable to sleep because Santa is coming lol. Looking back, they were magical times and now, theres nothing more magical than when you see that magic unfold through a child’s eyes.
This year has been tough, tougher than years gone bye and many of you will be struggling financially because of Covid, inflation etc. Try to remember, Christmas is about being together with your loved ones and friends, and not about the size of your pocket. Please give yourselves a break and stop beating yourselves up and just enjoy the festive season being with your nearest and dearest.
Christmas time can also be saddened by seeing an empty chair at the table. Spare a thought for the loved ones that can’t be with us at this time, either they have been sadly taken from us or they live miles away. They are never too far from our thoughts.
Please join me in raising your glass to toast the ones that can’t be with us in remembrance of all the wonderful times you’ve shared and those cherished memories we all have!
On that note, there’s nothing more I can say apart from wishing you all a very Merry Christmas. Laugh be merry and make lasting memories people.
