New Years Day 2020

New Years day 2020 In Spain, there’s a tradition with many foreigners and its been that way for 20 years or more, growing a little each year as more people participate, even the Spanish now get involved.

The same bar every year is the meeting point for the harden regulars with a few drinks downed for dutch courage and many on lookers to encourage and cheer the participants on.

Many will meet down the sandy beach dressed in fancy dress, some just in swim wear to take the plunge into the cold Mediterranean sea all in aid of charity.

I was there this year and managed to take some pictures for you and also I was amazed at how many onlookers had turned out to support the event, a lot more than I have witnessed in past years. Great Job!

Many thousands have been raised over the years and it’s all achieved with a good heart.

I have managed to capture some images for you to view, although the sun is out I can assure you it was very cold with a high of 14  in the sun but feeling like 5 in the shade. Brrrrr

A great day was had by all.
