Diary of a Misbehaving Body Part Ep 10: Feet – “Toe-tal Disaster”

Diary of a Misbehaving Body Part Ep 10: Feet – “Toe-tal Disaster”
Intro for Readers
Welcome back, darlings. By now, you know that no corner of my body is innocent. Every part has its secrets, its scandals and its moments of utter disgrace. And today, it’s time to look down, way down, to the pair that carries me through life yet causes me more chaos than a tequila-fuelled night out. Yes, you guessed it, it’s Diary of a Misbehaving Body Part Ep 10: Feet – “Toe-tal Disaster”
The drama queens of the body. The divas in designer shoes. The same pair that’s tripped me, betrayed me, stomped me into humiliation, and – apparently – become some men’s weird fantasy accessory.
Brace yourself. They’ve got a lot to say.
The Diary of Sue’s Feet – “Toe-tal Disaster”
Dear Diary,
It’s us. The Feet. The long-suffering, often ignored, occasionally adored pair that have trudged Sue through life. And we’ve finally been given the microphone.
Frankly, it’s about time. We’ve been carrying her arse around since birth, and what thanks do we get? Blisters, bunions, cheap stilettos, and Lego-related war crimes.
Well, today we’re spilling everything. Every toe-stubbing tragedy, every drunken dash, every scandal we’ve been dragged into.
The Lego Incident
Let’s start with the obvious trauma: Lego.
If you’ve never stepped barefoot on Lego, you’ve never known true suffering. It’s pain so sharp it travels up your body and punches your soul. And who takes the blame? Us. Always us.
Sue screams, hops around, swears like a sailor, and the rest of the body looks at us like, “Why’d you let that happen?”
We didn’t LET it happen. We’re literally the ones impaled here.
Shoe Chaos
Shoes. Our so-called “partners.” More like medieval torture devices wrapped in leather and false promises.
-
Stilettos: Tall, glamorous, and utterly sadistic. Every step is a gamble between sexy strut and full collapse.
-
Cheap sandals: Break at the most humiliating moment. Usually mid-crossing, in traffic, with strangers staring.
-
Winter boots: Supposed to protect us. Instead, they turn into sweat lodges.
-
Flip-flops: Designed by Satan. Forever slapping the floor like applause for Sue’s poor decisions.
And don’t even get us started on new shoes. Sue sees a sale. We see bloodshed.

Footsie Fiascos
Everyone thinks footsie is sexy. Let us tell you: it’s not.
Under the dinner table, Sue tries to be sultry. Instead, she kicks over a wine glass, toes the wrong leg, or cramps halfway through the gesture. Once, she tried stroking her date’s calf, missed completely, and nudged his napkin onto the floor. Another time, she accidentally brushed the waiter’s ankle, cue him dropping the bread basket – and poor Sue spent the rest of the evening apologising while trying to maintain a hint of seduction.
And let’s not forget the time she thought crossing her legs just right would be sultry. Nope. Toe got wedged between the chair leg and the table, a loud pop sounded, and her date jumped like she’d kicked a cat. She tried to recover with a wink. Disaster. Wince. Comedy gold.
Romance? Zero. Slapstick? Twenty out of ten. And if anyone ever tells you footsie is “easy,” dear reader, just remember: our toes are tiny anarchists with a mind of their own.
Drunken Barefoot Dashes
Why is it that after three cocktails, Sue thinks we’re bulletproof?
One moment, we’re strapped into six-inch heels, valiantly pretending we’re elegant. The next, Sue kicks them off mid-laugh, and suddenly we’re pounding dirty pavements like tiny, clueless marathon runners, dodging kebab wrappers, spilled drinks, and the occasional wayward pigeon. Every mysterious puddle feels like a hidden trap, and yes, we’ve had at least one “soggy sock crisis” that required a dramatic retreat into a bus stop.
We’ve seen things. Sticky nightclub floors that could glue toes together, gravel car parks that double as medieval torture devices, and an entire chip shop queue where Sue nearly wiped our soles on someone’s coat (apologies again, mum!).
Once, in what we now call “The Great Bus Debacle,” Sue sprinted barefoot across the street to catch a bus. We barely made it inside without tripping over ourselves, then spent the journey gripping the poles for dear life while the driver stared like we were auditioning for a slapstick comedy. We’re still traumatised.
And let’s not forget the grand finale: the night Sue tried a barefoot “victory dance” in the alley because she thought she was cool. Cool? We slipped, kicked a bin lid into orbit, and earned a round of confused applause from two stray cats. Never again.
Diva Pedicure Demands
Now, here’s the thing: we might complain, but we’re also divas.
We demand pedicures. Regular ones. Hot soaks, glossy polish, gentle rubs, and moisturiser thicker than butter – the kind that makes Sue’s hands feel like they’ve been massaging clouds. If she neglects us for too long, we revolt: dry heels, chipped nails, flaky tantrums, and the occasional “toe stomp of displeasure” while she’s walking.
And yes, we’re high-maintenance. But darling, when we look fabulous in strappy heels, suddenly the whole outfit works harder. People notice. Men notice. That’s right, even the barista, the random guy at the bus stop, or Sue’s date who suddenly can’t stop staring at our freshly polished perfection. One time, a man literally asked if he could “just admire them for a moment” – we batted our toenails like the divas we are and, honestly, he looked relieved when Sue said no.
We know it sounds selfish. But think about it: if we’re happy, Sue is happy. If Sue’s happy, the world is a slightly more glamorous, slightly more chaotic place, and let’s face it, admiration from a handsome stranger never hurt anyone.
Public Shoe Catastrophes
Some of our finest humiliations include:
-
Heel snapping in the middle of a train station. One second Sue’s strutting like she owns the platform, the next she’s doing a desperate one-legged dance while trying not to topple over. Bonus: the guy reading the newspaper in front of her got an accidental foot tickle.
-
Sandal strap snapping on a first date. Picture it: romantic lighting, soft music, Sue all flirty… then snap! Down goes the sandal, and she’s hobbling barefoot across the bar like a newborn giraffe. He tried to help, bless him, but we weren’t having it – pride first, man second.
-
Boot zip exploding mid-walk. Nothing says elegance like a boot zip giving up on life while you’re striding confidently down a busy street. We flapped like freed penguins, drawing gasps, stares, and a confused dog barking. Sue cursed softly, but honestly, it was performance art at its finest.
-
Slip ‘n’ slide in the supermarket. Not a shoe malfunction per se, but wet tiles + suede heels = instant chaos. We nearly took out the cereal aisle, sent a trolley flying, and the manager is still traumatised.
We’ve turned Sue into slapstick comedy more times than we can count. Honestly, we deserve royalties from You’ve Been Framed – and maybe a lifetime supply of pedicures just for the effort.

The Naughty Foot Date
And now… the big confession. The night Sue brought home a date who expected us to get… involved.
You know what we mean. He dropped hints all evening. “I bet you’ve got pretty feet,” he purred. (Alert.) He kept staring under the table like our toes were performing a full cabaret, twitching and wiggling as if they’d rehearsed a Broadway number. By dessert, we knew exactly what he wanted.
Sure enough, back at Sue’s, he asked outright: “Would you… use your feet on me?”
Excuse me? We are walking equipment. We carry bodies. We step on Lego. We are not designed to tango with penises.
Sue froze. We screamed internally. Our little toes curled in horror, heels stamped in protest, and the left big toe muttered, “I did NOT sign up for this.” And then, the idiot actually nudged us forward.
What followed was the most awkward, unsexy shuffle in history. We tried, half-heartedly, but toes are terrible for grip. It felt less “erotic massage” and more “clumsy pigeon kicking a breadstick.” Meanwhile, Sue’s ankle twitched nervously, the little toes gossiped among themselves, and we may have accidentally poked him in the knee more than once.
Sue, ever the problem-solver, instructed her feet to exude pleasure. We gave it our best shot… then bailed halfway through, muttering something about cramps, protest spasms, and the sheer indignity of being treated like novelty furniture. Socks were immediately donned, and we refused to make a public appearance for days.
The Toes’ Afterparty
After the disaster, the toes held a private “debrief meeting” while Sue tried to regain composure.
-
The big toes argued about who was to blame.
-
The little toes whispered gossip about other dates Sue had dragged them on.
-
The arches sighed dramatically, claiming they’d been under-appreciated for centuries.
-
Even the soles staged a silent sit-in, refusing to step into shoes for a full 24 hours.
They plotted revenge in subtle ways:
-
A surprise cramp during a romantic dinner.
-
Random tickles at the worst possible moment.
-
Strategic stubbed toes when Sue tried to sneak out in heels.
Basically, the Feet had declared themselves the true rulers of Sue’s love life. And we, the innocent (sort of) bystanders, were simply along for the slapstick ride.
Look, we know foot fetishes exist. No shame. But if you expect us to get busy, at least warm us up first: a pedicure, some oil, maybe even a glass of wine. Not just, “Oi, give us a foot job.”
Rude. Absolutely. Utterly, hilariously rude.

Our Crimes (and We Admit Them)
We’ve tripped Sue in public.
We’ve stubbed ourselves on furniture.
We’ve stepped in puddles and dragged the smell home.
We’ve crammed into too-small shoes out of vanity.
We’ve betrayed Sue during yoga by cramping loudly.
And yes, we once tried to crush a man’s ego underfoot. On purpose.
We’re chaotic. But without us, Sue would literally go nowhere.
Sue’s Wrap-Up
Well, there you have it. My feet: chaotic, dramatic, and forever dragging me into trouble. From Lego scars to broken heels, from footsie disasters to one of the most awkward dates of my life, they’ve spilled it all.
And while they’re divas who demand constant pampering, they’re also right: without them, I wouldn’t get very far. Literally.
So here’s to my misbehaving feet — always pointing me in the wrong direction, but making sure I’ve got stories worth telling.
