Dita Von Teese is returning to the UK back on tour with her most lavish burlesque show in history – GLAMONATRIX.
Dita Von Teese is best known for her burlesque routines and is frequently dubbed the “Queen of Burlesque” by the press.

If you have been living under a rock for the last 20 or so years and you haven’t heard of “Dita Von Teese”, then let me explain who this famous, glamorous lady is.
Dita Von Teese, classically trained as a ballet dancer from an early age and on reaching the age of 15, Dita realised she would be as good as she ever would be. Later Dita would incorporate this element into her burlesque shows.
Fuelled by glimpses of beautiful lingerie from her fathers playboy magazines and her natural love of vintage helped to shaped her career.
At the age of 15, she pursued a career working in a lingerie store as a sales girl and then as a buyer. Dita Von Teese has been fond of wearing erotic lingerie such as corsets and basques ever since.
In college, Dita Von Teese studied historic costuming and aspired to work as a stylist for films. Now trained as a costume designer, she has often designed and copyrighted her photo shoots.
Dita began performing burlesque in 1992, and, because of her passion of Neo-Burlesque, has managed to popularise the intrigue and revival of such an art.
In her own words, she “puts the tease back into striptease” with long, elaborate dance shows with props and characters, many inspired by by the golden era of Hollywood films.
There are many acts within her shows, she has become famous for the carousel horse and the clawfoot bathtub but her signature show features a giant martini glass.
Additionally, Dita has stared in films, written books, released a song, been a pinup girl for Playboy, Teacher of Burlesque, model, and the list is endless.
Also she was featured in a striptease/burlesque act in George Michael‘s live tour 2008, for the song “Feelin’ Good
This year Dita Von Teese will be performing her famous sexy burlesque striptease show in the UK, a show where her audiences are filled with not just men but with women too.
Her shows are famous worldwide for their glitz and attention to detail and of course, the glamour and fetish of Dita Von Teese
She has stated in print, “I love fetish for its powers of transformation and also for its beauty.”
